Book Description
"The Tailor" is a short story set in the Grishaverse, written by Leigh Bardugo. It follows the character of Luda, a young girl who dreams of becoming a tailor like her father. However, when her father is killed by a Grisha, Luda is forced to flee and ends up working for a criminal organization known as the Dregs.
As she becomes more involved with the Dregs, Luda begins to learn about the Grisha and their powers, including their ability to manipulate fabric. She starts to use this knowledge to create specialized clothing for the Dregs, making them more effective in their criminal activities.
However, Luda's desire for revenge against the Grisha who killed her father drives her to create a dangerous and potentially deadly plan. With the help of the Dregs, she lures the Grisha to a trap where she plans to kill them. But when she realizes the true cost of her actions, she must decide whether to go through with her plan or choose a different path.
The story is set in the same world as Bardugo's Grisha Trilogy and Six of Crows duology, and offers a glimpse into the criminal underworld of Ketterdam. It also explores themes of revenge, morality, and the consequences of one's actions.
Despite being a short story, "The Tailor" is a well-crafted and engaging addition to the Grishaverse, providing readers with a unique perspective on the world and its characters. The story is also notable for its strong female protagonist, Luda, who is resourceful, determined, and willing to take risks to achieve her goals.
Overall, "The Tailor" is a must-read for fans of the Grishaverse, offering a compelling and thought-provoking story that is both entertaining and impactful.
