عند إنقاذ إدوارد برينديك بعد تحطم السفينة «ليدي فين»، يجد نفسه على متن مركب شراعي يحمل معرِضًا للحيوانات برفقة حارسها مونتجومري. وبعد أن يستعيد برينديك صحته بفضل رعاية مونتجومري له، يُؤخَذ مع ذلك الرجل وحيواناتِه إلى جزيرة مجهولة حيث يلتقي بسيد مونتجومري، وهو دكتور مورو العبقري الذي يحمل نُذُر الشَّرِّ. وسرعان ما يدرك برينديك أن الجزيرة تحوي سرًّا غامضًا ومروِّعًا حيث نصَّب مورو نفسه إلهًا عليها.

H.G. Wells (21 September 1866 - 13 August 1946) a thinker, journalist, World Meeting and Aokhantions.
It is considered one of the founders of science fiction literature and has gained his fame thanks to its novels belonging to the literary category. Unlike contemporary Jules Verne, Wales's novels won a deadly social criticism and did not stop the adventure.
