«حرب العوالم» رواية نُشرت عام ١٨٩٨ للكاتب هربرت جورج ويلز، وتُروى على لسان راوٍ مجهولِ الاسم يحكي عن مغامراته في لندن إبَّان غزو المريخيين لكوكب الأرض. وهي من أُولى روايات الخيال العلمي التي تحكي تفصيلًا عن النزاع بين الجنس البشري وأحد الأجناس التي تحيا في الفضاء الخارجي.
تتألف الرواية من جزأين: «قدوم المريخيين»، و«الأرض في قبضة المريخيين»، حيث يخوض الراوي — وهو كاتب متخصص في الكتابات الفلسفية — تجربة مريرة أثناء محاولة العودة إلى زوجته في الوقت الذي يشاهد فيه المريخيين وهم يُلحقون الدمار بلندن ويُبيدون كل من يعترض طريقهم.

H.G. Wells (21 September 1866 - 13 August 1946) a thinker, journalist, World Meeting and Aokhantions.
It is considered one of the founders of science fiction literature and has gained his fame thanks to its novels belonging to the literary category. Unlike contemporary Jules Verne, Wales's novels won a deadly social criticism and did not stop the adventure.
