Aldo Leopold was an American author, philosopher, scientist, environmentalist, forester, conservationist, and environmentalist. He was a professor at the University of Wisconsin, and is best known for his book Sand County Almanac (1949), which has sold over two million copies.
Leopold was influential in the development of modern environmental ethics and in the wilderness conservation movement. His ethics regarding nature and wildlife conservation had a profound influence on the environmental movement, as well as his pro-environmental or inclusive ethics for the land.
