Book Description
With this book, published more than a half-century ago, Aldo Leopold created the discipline of wildlife management. Although A Sand Country Almanac is doubtless Leopold’s most popular book, Game Management may well be his most important. In this book he revolutionized the field of conservation.
Aldo Leopold
Aldo Leopold was an American author, philosopher, scientist, environmentalist, forester, conservationist, and environmentalist. He was a professor at the University of Wisconsin, and is best known for his book Sand County Almanac (1949), which has sold over two million copies.
Leopold was influential in the development of modern environmental ethics and in the wilderness conservation movement. His ethics regarding nature and wildlife conservation had a profound influence on the environmental movement, as well as his pro-environmental or inclusive ethics for the land.
He emphasized biodiversity and ecology and was a founder of the science of wildlife management.
