Astronomy
Books number: 118
Astronomy is the scientific study of celestial bodies (such as stars, planets, comets, meteors, galaxies...) and phenomena that occur outside the atmosphere (such as the cosmic microwave background radiation). It studies the evolution of celestial bodies, physical and chemical properties, and the movement of bodies, as well as the formation and evolution of the universe.
Astronomy is one of the ancient sciences.
Early astronomers made systematic observations of the evening sky, and discovered astronomical artifacts during very early periods. However, it was necessary to invent the telescope before astronomy developed into a modern science. Astronomy has included various disciplines throughout history such as astrometry, astronautics, relative astronomy, calendering, and astrology, but professional astronomy is synonymous with astrophysics.
