Ahmed Sousse

An Iraqi Arab writer and researcher, he obtained his BA in Civil Engineering in 1928 from Colorado College in the United States. After that, he continued his higher studies, receiving a doctorate with honor from Johns Hopkins University in America in 1930, and he was elected a member of the well-known American scientific foundation (Phi Beta Kappa), and the University of Washington awarded him in 1929 the Weddell Award, which is awarded annually to the writer of the best article that would Contributes to the promotion of peace among the countries of the world. Dr. Ahmed Soussa is one of the oldest Iraqi engineers to have graduated from Western universities. Ahmed Susa was a Jew by religion, but he converted to Islam after that. Among his works: (On My Way to Islam) in two parts 1936. (The System of Privileges in the Ottoman Empire), which was published in English in 1933 AD. (Sources on irrigation in Iraq) in 1942. (Euphrates Valley) in two parts, 1944-1945. (The Development of Irrigation in Iraq) 1946. (The Guide to Irrigation of Iraq) in English in 1944. (Irrigation in Iraq) in English in 1945.
