An Iraqi Arab writer and researcher, he obtained his BA in Civil Engineering in 1928 from Colorado College in the United States. After that, he continued his higher studies, receiving a doctorate with honor from Johns Hopkins University in America in 1930, and he was elected a member of the well-known American scientific foundation (Phi Beta Kappa), and the University of Washington awarded him in 1929 the Weddell Award, which is awarded annually to the writer of the best article that would Contributes to the promotion of peace among the countries of the world. Dr. Ahmed Soussa is one of the oldest Iraqi engineers to have graduated from Western universities. Ahmed Susa was a Jew by religion, but he converted to Islam after that.
