A scholar, jurist and exegete, an imam, preacher, and university professor, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars, a teacher of Sharia sciences, and a Saudi preacher, born in Unaizah in the Qassim region. He learned the Qur’an with his maternal grandfather “Abd al-Rahman bin Suleiman al-Damgh”, then he learned writing and some literature and arithmetic, joined a school and memorized the Qur’an at an early age, as well as the abbreviations of texts in hadith and jurisprudence. Abdul Rahman bin Nasser Al-Saadi had arranged for his senior students to teach the beginner students, and among them was Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Mutawa, so Al-Uthaymeen joined his circle.
After studying monotheism, jurisprudence and grammar, he sat in the circle of Abd al-Rahman bin Nasser al-Saadi, and he studied on him in interpretation, hadith, monotheism, jurisprudence and its origins, statutes and grammar.
