Khairy Ahmed Shalaby was born in the village of Shabas Omair, Qalin Center, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. He passed away on the morning of Friday 9-9 2011, at the age of 73. Khairy Shalaby is an Egyptian writer and novelist with seventy books, one of his most prominent works is the Al-Watad series, based on a story of the same name, starring the late Egyptian actress Hoda Sultan in the main role of "Fatima Talaba". The pioneer of historical fantasy in the contemporary Arab novel, and his novel The Travels of Al-Tarshaji Al-Halluji is a unique work in its chapter Khairy Ahmed Shalaby, born in the village of Shabas Omair, Qalin Center, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. He passed away on the morning of Friday 9-9 2011, at the age of 73. In his novel literature, matter is personified and transformed into living organisms that live and undergo changes, affect and be affected, and birds, trees, animals, insects and everything on the ground speak, where reality reaches the level of legend, and the legend descends to the level of reality, but the reader He believes what he reads and interacts with it. For example, his Siniora novel and his novel The Mule of the Throne, where reality reaches the boundaries of myth, and the myth reaches in the second to a purely realistic verification. His character and live and follow his dramatic journey with passion. Recipient of the State Incentive Award for Literature in 1980-1981. Recipient of the Medal of Science and Arts of the first class 1980-1981. Recipient of the Best Arabic Novel Award for the novel "Wakala Attia" 1993. Recipient of the First Prize of the Writers Union for Merit in 2002. Recipient of Naguib Mahfouz Medal Award from the American University in Cairo for the novel “Wekalat Attia” 2003. Recipient of the Best Arabic Book Award from the Cairo Book Fair for the novel “Cisterns of Pearls” 2002. Recipient of the State Appreciation Award in Literature 2005. Nominated by the Canadian Embassy for the Nobel Prize in Literature. He is currently the editor-in-chief of the Poetry Magazine (Ministry of Information). Editor-in-chief of the series: Library of Popular Studies (Ministry of Culture). Among his most famous novels are: Siniora, The Bad Guys, Al-Shattar, The Wedge, The Buttocks, Two Branches of Cactus, Mawal Al-Bayat and Al-Nom, The Amali Trilogy (The First Us Born - The Second Al-Kumi - The Third Al-Warraq), Mule the Throne, Lick of the Blade, Sleeps of Uncle Ahmad Al-Sammak, Death of Abaya, Belly The cow, the pearl tanks, the mint of Al-Janain, plus Saleh Haisa: The story of a controversial figure from the general Egyptian people with her own views on life and brain drain: a gang that trades some human remains in order to produce more deadly types of drugs Poppy Flower: The story of a young Egyptian from a well-known family in mint.
