An Egyptian judge in the Court of Appeal and a novelist who has published four novels: Time of Hyenas, Toya (which reached the Booker long list for the Arabic novel in 2013), and the novel "The Guide". and the novel "Shepherd's Dogs" 2015. He also published a book about thefts and smuggling of Egyptian antiquities and attempts to recover them, entitled "Legitimate Thefts", which was translated into German. He also wrote and published many articles on some websites and the newspapers of the seventh day and Al-Masry Al-Youm.
