الفيل الأزرق

(born in Cairo 1978) is an Egyptian writer, screenwriter, photographer and graphic designer. He graduated from the Lycée el-Horreya in Bab El-Louk in 1996 before joining the Higher Institute of Cinema to study cinematography. He graduated in 2001, ranked first in the department. Seventh Prizes for short films in festivals in England, France and Ukraine. He has authored several novels, including: Vertigo, Diamond Dust, and the Blue Elephant, which was shortlisted for the Arab Booker Prize in 2014, the 1919 novel, The Land of God, and others.
