Edmond Sabri is one of the most famous Iraqi story writers in the fifties and sixties of the last century, but he did not enjoy the critical care due to those who issued more than twenty short story and theatrical collections, because he was only interested in the social message of story literature without delving into the details of the artistic craft. In 1948 he published his first story (Mako). neighbor) in the newspaper (Sawt Al-Ahrar) under the name (Edmon Sabri Razzouk) and in 1952 he issued his first short story collection (The Harvest of Tears) and since then it became a tradition for him to publish one or two collections per year, then it stopped publishing in 1963 for four years and resumed Published in 1967.
