Hadi Yahmed

Tunisian journalist and media person with a graduate degree specialized in journalism and a professorship in civilization and the Arabic language. He has been working in the field of written electronic journalism for ten years. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief of the website Haqiqat On, preceded by the Tunisian Facts magazine. He also worked as a reporter for a number of Arab media and was known for his social investigations. and political. His investigation into the poor conditions of prisons in Tunisia caused a political uproar in Tunisia and led to the blocking of the weekly magazine Haqiqat in 2002. He was forced to leave Tunisia in January 2003 after this investigation and settled for ten years in Paris, where he worked as a correspondent for a number of Arab media in Paris. . Then he returned to Tunisia after the revolution in 2011. He received many awards, including the award for the best journalistic investigation about those sentenced to death in Tunisian prisons in 2002. He also received the Migrant PEN award granted by the Tunisian Al-Mawqif newspaper in 2007. In 2015 he published an investigative book On the phenomenon of Salafi-jihadism in Tunisia, under the title “Under the Banner of Punishment.” He worked as a coach for the German media organization “MICT” and began his journey with Areej since 2014 as a journalist coach and participated in many workshops organized by the network.
