Tammuz Saadouni was born in Baghdad, Iraq. He was born in 1978 in Baghdad. He loved reading and writing since childhood. He left Iraq in 1991 after the first Gulf War and lived in Jordan for five years. After completing high school, he immigrated to New Zealand in 1996. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Auckland and obtained a Bachelor's degree in 2001.
