Rashid Al-Khayoun

Rashid Al-Khayoun is an Iraqi researcher. He was born in Al-Chabaish in the Dhi Qar Governorate in southern Iraq. He graduated from the Teachers' Institute in Baghdad in 1975. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Aden in 1984 in South Yemen. He obtained a doctorate in Sofia in Islamic philosophy in 1991. He practiced education in Baghdad primary schools for the period 1975-1979 at the time when UNESCO published a report in which it said that education in Iraq is also the same as education in the Scandinavian countries. He studied in Yemeni universities for the period 1979-1988, a period that witnessed the departure of more than 23 thousand researchers, doctors and engineers out of Iraq as a result of the first Gulf War that Iraq fought under the leadership of Saddam Hussein and Iran under the leadership of Ruhollah al-Moussawi Khomeini. He is also a weekly article writer in the Middle East newspaper and other newspapers. Most notably, the Emirati newspaper Ittihad.
