Ibrahim Al-Hajry
Ibrahim Al-Hajri (1972 - July 7, 2021), is a Moroccan novelist and literary critic. Ibrahim Al-Hajri was born in the town of Awlad Afraj, near the city of El Jadida in 1972 AD, where he received his primary, secondary, and higher education between the cities of El Jadida and Rabat until he obtained a doctorate in Arabic language and literature from Mohammed V University - Rabat in 2013. He worked as a professor of Arabic in secondary, preparatory and rehabilitative education between 1997 and 2011, then was an educational inspector in Arabic after graduating from the Education Inspectors Training Center, Rabat, in 2011. He is the father of three children.
He left a multi-faceted creative production and accumulated an exemplary scientific and creative experience, and completed a number of pioneering research and narrative fiction and critical literature, some of which were translated into foreign languages, and some of which were crowned with prestigious international awards.
He died on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at about four thirty in the afternoon, at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Casablanca, at the age of 49. He had fallen into a forced coma that lasted about two weeks, after a sudden illness that afflicted him on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, after which he was transferred to a clinic in New City, and then to the resuscitation department at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital.
