An Egyptian writer and novelist, born in Cairo in 1949. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Ain Shams University in 1972, and a Bachelor's degree in theater from the Higher Institute for Dramatic Sciences in 1976. Many short stories have been published, such as: "Zinat at the President's Funeral." 1986, Attia’s Maqam in 1986, On the Gradually Stolen Soul in 1989, Farming Dough in 1992, Rabbits in 1994 and Contradictory Rhythms in 1996. She also published many novels such as The Golden Cart. Do not ascend to the sky” in 1991, “Description of the Nightingale” in 1993, “Night and Day” in 1997 and the novel “Al-Bashmouri” in 2000. Her many works have been translated into English, German, Dutch and Spanish, and her novels “Nun Al-Shanouna” and "Night and Day" was made into two television films, and her novel "The Cinematic Vehicle" was made into a movie.
