Haji Jaber is an Eritrean journalist and novelist, born in the coastal city of Massawa in 1976. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences. He worked in the Saudi press for years. He worked as a reporter for German television “Dubice Welle” in Saudi Arabia, and worked as a journalist in the newsroom of the Qatari channel Al-Jazeera. He has published four novels, including Samrawit, which won the Sharjah Prize for Arab Creativity in 2012, and Black Foam, which won the Katara Prize for Arabic Fiction in its fifth session in the category of novels published in 2019. Some of his works have been translated into many languages, such as English and Italian. Hebrew and others.
