Khaled Al-Khamisi was born in Cairo. He obtained a BA in political science from Cairo University, then a master's in foreign policy from the Sorbonne University. His first book, "Taxi.. Al-Mashawir", was published in January 2007 by Dar Al-Shorouk, which achieved record sales upon its publication in Egypt and the Arab world. The book was translated into English and Italian in 2008. Khaled Al-Khamisi is a writer, producer and director, and has written for the Egyptian press.
