Tharwat Al-Kharbawi
An Egyptian lawyer, a member of the Egyptian Bar Association, and a former prominent leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Tharwat al-Kharbawi was born in Sharkia Governorate in 1957.[citation needed] al-Kharbawi began his political career as a member of the Wafd Party and then joined the Brotherhood, becoming one of its leaders. In the professional unions case, under which a number of the Brotherhood were tried before the military court in 2000, which resulted in al-Kharbawi’s dispute with the Brotherhood and his separation from it in 2002. His separation witnessed widespread reactions, as al-Kharbawi wrote many articles criticizing the kinetic approach of the Muslim Brotherhood. Al-Kharbawi writes for many Egyptian newspapers, including Al-Dustour newspaper, Rosal-Youssef newspaper, and Nahdet Misr. He has a number of research and studies. Writings Al-Kharbawi is preparing a two-part book that deals with the events that the Egyptian Bar Association went through during the Brotherhood’s control over it and what he described as the conspiracies and intrigues that were taking place within it, while the second part includes his view from the inside of the Muslim Brotherhood in addition to what he described as important documents and documents condemning the group and its members.
