Afif Al-Bahnasi
A historian, plastic artist and professor, born in Damascus, Syria. He studied all levels of study in Damascus and obtained a license from the Teachers' House there. He obtained his BA in Law and a Diploma in Administrative Sciences from Damascus University in 1950. He studied art at the Institut Andre Lute in Paris and studied art history at the Louvre Institute. He received his Ph.D. in Art History from Paris-Sorbonne University in 1964, with a very honorable degree. He received a state doctorate from Paris-Sorbonne University in 1978, with a very honorable degree.
