Mohammed Abdul Halim Abdullah
An Egyptian author and writer, he was born on February 3, 1913 in Kafr Bolin in the Beheira Governorate. He became one of the symbols of the novel in modern Arabic literature, and one of the most who turned his literary works into cinematic films because of the richness of events, characters and the surrounding environment.. These are the characteristics that distinguished his works from other novelists of his generation. Such as the series Laqita about his novel of the same name, as well as the Ivy Tree series about his novel with the same name, as well as a series for the time of the rest, and the movie The Promised Night and the movie Olive Branch. He graduated from the "Dar Al Uloom Higher School" in 1937. His first story was published while he was still a student in 1933. After his graduation, he worked as an editor for the "Arabic Language Academy" magazine until he became the editor-in-chief of the Majma` magazine and became famous as one of the best contemporary novel writers. He died on June 30, 1970. A literary library was established in his name in his village "Kafr Bolin" affiliated to Kom Hamadeh in the Beheira Governorate, and a museum was set up next to his tomb in his village, and the most prominent thing in the museum is the first manuscript of his story "Ghram Confused". Among his most important books are: 1. After sunset 2. Autumn sun 3. The Virgin Paradise 4. For the rest of time 5. The Ivy Tree.. 6. The Colors of Happiness 7. Confused Love.... And many others. He also wrote many short stories. Many of his works have been translated into Persian, English, French, Italian, Chinese, and German, and most of his novels have been turned into films and television series.
