Xavier do Montbane
Xavier was born in Abermont, Hotzart in 1823 and died in Paris in 1902, a French writer and author of serial novels and popular tragedies. He gained wide fame as a popular novelist, in addition to being the author of the best-selling novel of the nineteenth century (The Bread Seller), published in 1889, and adapted successively in theatre, film and television.
