تتألف الرواية من سبعة فصول تدور أحداثها بديار "أيبوط" المجيدة وترتبط بأحد رعايا تلك الديار من المثقفين. وتتخذ الرواية ذات الاجواء الفانتازية، من قطار الدرجة العادية فضاء جديدا لمجريات أحداثها، يسترجع الراوي من خلالها تاريخ مصر القديمة وما أصابها من الانهيار، بعد أن كانت مركزا لحضارة العالم. ولا يحتاج القارئ الى مجهود كبير، ليكتشف أن التاريخ الموغل في القدم، ما هو إلا قناع فني لوصف أو سرد أحداث راهنة، قد تكون أفظع أو أغرب مما وقع منذ مئات السنين، وبالتالي فإن الروائي، يلتقي، مع فارق فني وزماني، مع بعض القائلين إن التاريخ يعيد نفسه، وهناك من يضيف إن الاعادة تتم بشكل أقبح أو أجمل من الصورة الاصل.

Majid Toubia

He is Majid Ishaq Toubia, an Egyptian novelist and writer, born on March 25, 1938, in Minya, Egypt, with a Bachelor of Sports and Education, Teachers College, Cairo, 1960, a Diploma of the Scenario Institute, 1970, a Postgraduate Diploma, Film Direction from the Cinema Institute in Cairo, 1972. Among the His most important works: Vostok Reaches the Moon (stories), Five Unread Newspapers (stories), The Next Days (stories), Circles of Impossibility (a novel), Cairo, 1972.
