وقد اشتمل الكتاب الحالي على أربعة فصول تناول الفصل الأول موضوع العيد في الإسلام من حيث ماهيته وآدابه، وتناول الفصل الثاني أهمية العيد من حيث أهميته الدينية والنفسية والاجتماعية للفرد والمجتمع، وتناول الفصل الثالث موضوع دور الأسرة تجاه أبنائها في العيد من حيث استعراض الآداب التي يجب على الأسرة تعليمها للطفل خلال أيام العيد، وأخيرًا تناول الفصل الرابع موضوع الطفل والعيد من حيث استعراض حق الطفل في المشاركة في فرح العيد وآدابه.
