Ahmad Al-Sheikh
An Egyptian writer and novelist, he has published forty books for adults and twenty-seven books for children. He is considered one of the most important books of the sixties generation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Department of History, Ain Shams University, 1967 - Pre-Masters Diploma, 1968. Among his most prominent works is the series People in Kafr Askar (a series) based on a novel of the same name. He is considered the first Egyptian writer to have published a series of eight novels about the Egyptian countryside, all of which take place in the village of Kafr Askar. During his career, he presented many important works that monitored and addressed many of the political and social changes that occurred in the Egyptian society. Recipient of the State Appreciation Award in Literature (Egypt) in 2014 for his total work Recipient of the State Incentive Award in Literature in 1985 for the group of digging in the brain Recipient of the Medal of Science and Arts of the first class 1985 Story Club Prize 1963 National Competition Prize at the beginning of the seventies Timor Literary Prize In the 1990s, his novel, "The Story of Longing," was chosen among the 100 best Arabic novels published in the last century
