Book Description

Turki Al-Hamad

Turki Hamad Turki Al-Hamad Al-Aqili, born on March 10, 1952 in the shrine of Karak in Jordan to a Saudi family from the Al-Aqilat group, is a writer, novelist and former academic professor. Turki Al-Hamad's trilogy is considered the Spectra of Deserted Alleys*', which consists of three novels, the first of which was published in 1995, the most famous of what Al-Hamad wrote. This trilogy has raised a lot of controversy, as a result of its exposure to sensitive topics in Saudi society, but, although these three were the first works of the novelist, this work was preceded by several books. In the year 1986, the author published a book on comparative revolutionary movements, followed by a book on Ideological Studies in the Arab Case (1992), a book on Arab culture in the face of the challenges of change (1993), and then a book on the human being I am talking (1995). After the trilogy, the writer issued a book, Arab Culture in the Age of Globalization, and then returned to fiction writing, two novels: East of the Valley and Wounds of Memory. After that, the writer released two non-fiction works, respectively: History remains open and from here the change begins. The last work of the writer is the novel The Wind of Paradise, published in 2004.
