انطلاقا من مقولة طارق بن زياد المشهورة( وان يكن بعض المؤرخين يشككون فى صحة نسبتها اليه) وهو يحث جنوده على الصمود اذ ليس ثمة سوى البحر من امامهم والعدو من خلفهم يستوحى محمد جبريل عنوان هذه القصة التى ترصد بدقة وصبر تحولات جيلين او اكثر وذلك من خلال وعى شخصيتها الرئيسية: نجاةالتى فقدت زوجها وكان مستشارا فى منظمة الصحة العالمية ولكنها تعيش مع الذكرى فى شقة على بحر الاسكندرية وتلتحلم افكارها ومشاعرها بمن يحيطون بها ابنتها هناء وزوجها رامى وحفيدها باسم وشغالتها- الان صديقتها- فاطمة وبوابها جوده ولكن زوجها محرم يظل اكثر واقعية فى وجدانها من كل هؤلاء البحر امامها حقا ولكن وراءها ما يعين على الصمود حب الزوج ورعايته ونصحه حتى بعد رحيله روح المقاومة التى ترفض الظلم قوة الحق هكذا يرسى محمد جبريل بلغة الفن قيمة انسانية كبرى تربط بين الذكرى والحاضر فى وعى بطلته وتعلى من معانى العدل والتراحم والوفاء ولو كان ذلك بإبراز غيابها عن عالم قاس لا يرحم

Muhammad Jibril

An Egyptian novelist and short story writer, born in "Alexandria" on February 17, 1938 AD. His books exceed fifty books. His father was an accountant and translator at the same time and had his own library. Muhammad Jibril benefited from his father's library in his first readings and considered it a main reason for his love of literature. He started his working life in 1959 AD as an editor for Al-Gomhouria newspaper with the late Rushdi Saleh, then he worked for Al-Masaa newspaper. From January 1967 to July 1968, he worked as editor of the monthly "Social Reform" magazine, which was concerned with cultural issues. He worked as an expert in the Arab Center for Media Studies for Population, Development and Reconstruction. Worked as editor-in-chief of Al-Watan newspaper in the Sultanate of Oman (nine years). He now works as head of the cultural department of the evening newspaper. The publisher, Fadwa Al-Bustani, adopted the publication of his literary works, out of her belief in the universality of man. The published books on Muhammad Jibril and his literature amounted to (13) books. Some of his short stories were published in the Friday literary supplement of the Egyptian Al-Ahram newspaper. I also studied his works in the universities of the Sorbonne, Lebanon and Algeria. He is married to the writer and critic Zainab Al-Assal and has two sons, Amal and Walid. Some Egyptian intellectuals nominated him for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Among his works - collections of short stories: That Moment (1970) Reflections of Troubled Days (1981) Some of her stories were translated into French.
