Ahmed Saadawi: Iraqi novelist and poet. Born in Baghdad 1973. Published: Bad Songs Festival, Poetry, Madrid. The Beautiful Country, Baghdad 2004, won the first prize for the Arabic novel in Dubai 2005. He licks, plays or dies, a novel, Damascus 2008, won the High Festival Award 2010, Beirut 39. His novel Frankenstein in Baghdad was nominated for the Booker Prize and then entered the shortlist and won it in year 2014.
