Mahmoud Abdel Shakour
Mahmoud Abdel Shakour is an Egyptian writer and film and literary critic, born in December 1965. He graduated from the Faculty of Information, Department of Journalism in 1987, and was first in his class in the Department of Journalism. Trained in Al-Wafd newspaper, and worked in the office of the Kuwaiti Al-Anbaa newspaper. He published his articles in a large number of Arab and Egyptian newspapers and magazines, such as the Kuwaiti Al-Qabas, the Parisian Al-Youm Al-Sabe’, which was published at the end of the eighties, Rose Al-Youssef daily newspaper, Rose Al-Youssef magazine, Al-Tahrir newspaper, New Cinema magazine, Al-Hilal magazine, Al-Youm Al-Jadeed newspaper, Ain website. He participated in the viewing committees of the Cairo Film Festival and the Ismailia Documentary Film Festival, and was a member of the Cinema Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture. He is a member of the Journalists Syndicate, and a member of the Egyptian Film Critics Association.
