The Call Of The Wild is a novel written by Jack London based on Darwin's theory. Survival of the fittest. A dog that is raised as a pet discovers a wolf inside, when subjected to brutal and cruel treatment under harsh conditions. The story is set in the Canadian Klondike gold rush during the 1890s. The central character in this story revolves around Buck, who is a domesticated dog. A buck is stolen to make up for the gardener's debts due to gambling, and is sold to a casino. The club sells it to Canadian missionaries and eventually relocates to the harsh climate of Klondike as it learns to survive the cold winters. In competition with Spitz, Buck wins and emerges as captain of the team.
