Book Description

Power BI is a self-service (and enterprise) Business Intelligence (BI) tool that facilitates data acquisition, modeling, and visualization—and the skills needed to succeed with Power BI are fully transferable to Microsoft Excel. There are three learning areas required to master everything Power BI Desktop has to offer: TheM Language, The DAX Language, and analysis. Super Charge Power BI clearly explains the necessary concepts while at the same time giving hands-on practice to engage the reader and help new knowledge stick.
Author portrait of Matt Allington

Matt Allington

Matt Allington spent the first 30 years of his career in the consumer packaged goods industry across sales, strategic planning and information technology before launching his consulting career in 2014. Matt has always been an avid spreadsheet user, first learning on Lotus 123 and then becoming an early adopter of Microsoft Excel in 1990. Matt's deep experience as a business user of data and an IT professional providing data to business users has uniquely placed him to understand the challenges of simply "getting it done". This experience is drawn out in Matt's teaching style in the way he communicates concepts to people who are trying to learn in a way that makes sense and hence is easy to learn.
