Yilmaz Öztuna is a Turkish writer, historian and journalist, born on September 20, 1930 AD in the Turkish city of Istanbul, and died on February 9, 2012 in the city of Ankara. Among his most famous works, which have been translated into Arabic, is the book "The History of the Ottoman Empire".
