Atlas of Structural Geology

Sumajit Mukherjee is a Professor in the Department of Geosciences at the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India. He received his Ph.D. Certificate in Geology and M. in Applied Geology from IIT Roorkee in 2007 and 2002 respectively. He received the Hutchison Young Scientist Award from IUGS in 2004. He worked as a visiting researcher at Hans Ramberg Tectonic Lab, Uppsala University 2005-2006. Dr. Mukherjee is a structural geologist and tectonic scientist, doing field work, micro-structural studies, analog and analytical modeling, primarily on ductile shear kinetics and impact tectonics. His research and editorial experience spans 15 years and to date has co-authored and (co-authored) 14 books and thematic volumes. He currently serves as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Geosciences (Springer), Books Consultant (Springer), and Editor of Advances in Structural and Tectonic Geology (Elsevier) series.
