Applied Dental Materials

In the production of this ninth edition of Applied Dental Materials, we have updated the text in terms of content and appearance. We hope that the book will remain useful to students and educators alike in dental materials science by adhering to the basic principles and developing it into a more comprehensive text covering a wide range of materials that fall within the scope of "Dental Materials". Thus, there are more references to practical issues such as processing and clinical performance of the material, while maintaining a strong correlation with the quality issues included within the newly developed ISO standards. Some areas, such as adhesion, ceramics, photoactivation technology, and CAD-CAM have been significantly developed and expanded from the eighth edition, reflecting changes or developments in these areas. There is a new chapter on endodontics. All areas benefited from a new approach to the use of graphics and photographs, including the use of color for the first time.
