Book Description

Nine strangers receive a cryptic list in the mail, containing only their names. Initially dismissing it as junk mail or a fluke, they soon find themselves at the center of a series of inexplicable and terrifying events. The pattern emerges when individuals on the list start dying in highly unusual circumstances.

The first victim is an elderly man, found drowned on a beach in the quiet town of Kennewick, Maine. Subsequently, a father is shot in his suburban Massachusetts neighborhood while jogging. These incidents raise alarm bells, prompting the recipients of the list to question what ties them together.

Among the diverse group are professionals ranging from an oncology nurse to an aspiring actor. FBI agent Jessica Winslow, herself named on the list, takes charge of the investigation. Determined to uncover the truth, she delves into the backgrounds of the nine individuals, searching for any common threads or hidden connections.

As fear and paranoia grip the group, they find themselves constantly looking over their shoulders, uncertain who will be the next target. Each death adds to the sense of dread and urgency, pushing Jessica and the others to unravel the mystery before it's too late.

The mysterious sender remains elusive, leaving the recipients grappling with the chilling possibility of a murderous mastermind at work. With their lives on the line, they must confront their darkest fears and work together to decipher the cryptic clues before the deadly game claims another victim.
