Moving to New Orleans for graduate school without knowing a soul in the city was a leap of faith that transformed my perspective on life. I learned the importance of being true to oneself, disregarding the opinions of others, and embracing one's identity with pride.

My journey has instilled in me a passion for storytelling, where I draw inspiration not only from life experiences but also from music. As for me, I harbor a love for taboo subjects, both in reading and writing. Music remains a constant muse, and road trips hold a special place in my heart. The rain, with its soothing cadence, is a cherished companion. Holding a BA in Public Administration from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master's in Education from Loyola University New Orleans, I spent eight years as a teacher.
