she received her First Degree in Physics from the Physics Department of the University of Athens (Greece) and her PhD in Theoretical Solid State Physics from the Physics Department of the University of Warwick (UK). she is currently Professor of Physics at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology of NKUA, previously at the Dept. of Aircraft Technology of the Technological Educational Institution (TEI) of Sterea Ellada and at TEI of Chalkida. she has conducted research at the University of Athens and at NCSR ‘Demokritos’ at the Institute of Materials Science (IMS) and at the Institute of Microelectronics (IMEL). she was collaborative researcher of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (INN), NCSR ‘Demokritos’, visiting professor/researcher at MATEIS and CETHIL of the INSA de Lyon (France) and at LEMTA of the University of Lorraine (France). she is member of the European and International Thermoelectric Societies and, since 2017, academician of the International Thermoelectric Academy (ITA).
