He was born in the city of Al-Majdal / Ashkelon in 1945 after the 1948 Nakba. He immigrated with his family to the Gaza Strip and lived in Khan Yunis, where he completed his primary, preparatory and secondary education. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History Department in 1970 from Alexandria University. He worked in journalism and did not practice any other profession. He published his productions of political stories and articles in many Arab magazines and newspapers. He holds British citizenship and lives in London.
