Huzama Habayeb is an award-winning Palestinian novelist, short story writer, essayist, translator and poet, including the Mahmoud Seif al-Din al-Iranian Prize for Short Story and the Jerusalem Festival Prize for Youth Creativity in Fiction. After graduating from Kuwait University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in English language and literature, she worked in the professions of education, translation, and journalism before she became a professional in writing, where she published several works in novels, stories and poetry. She is a member of both the Jordanian Writers Association and the General Union of Arab Writers and Writers.
