Youssef Murad: He is one of the most prominent Arab psychologists; Many of them considered him a philosopher and theorist of the integrative doctrine in psychology. Youssef Murad was born in Cairo in 1902. He completed primary and secondary education at the French “Frere” schools, and obtained the baccalaureate. Then he worked as a teacher in the Holy Family’s schools from 1923 to 1926. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts in 1930, and traveled on a mission to France in 1931, and obtained a postgraduate degree in psychology, ethics, sociology and the history of philosophy, and then received a doctorate with honors in 1940. Youssef Murad returned to Egypt after obtaining his doctorate, and taught psychology in Arabic for the first time at the college as an alternative to the French teacher; As the first member of a mission in Egyptian universities to return to Egypt after obtaining a doctorate from France. Youssef Murad supervised several master’s and doctoral theses, delivered a number of lectures at the Geographical Society in Cairo, and founded the Integrative Psychology Group in 1945 AD, the Journal of Psychology, and published research for professors and graduate students in Arabic, English and French. He has written many books, including: "The Psychology of Sex", "Studies in Psychological Integration", and "Healing the Soul". He passed away in 1966.
