Al-Abshihi (790 - 852 AH / 1388 - 1448 AD) is an Egyptian writer, the author of “The Extremist in Every Proud Art” in literature and news.
He is Baha Al-Din (or Shihab Al-Din) Abu Al-Fath Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Mansour Al-Abshahi Al-Mahali, his ancestry to the village of Abashih (Ibshawai) from the villages of Fayoum. He resided in Mahalla, and went to Cairo more than once, and listened to the lessons of Jalal al-Din al-Balqini. He studied jurisprudence and grammar and took over the rhetoric of his town after his father. He died in the year 852 AH, and it was said in the year 850 AH.
