An Egyptian writer, born in Sohag in 1972. He received his Bachelor of Medicine from Cairo University in 1997. His first book, "The World is More Beautiful Than Heaven," was published by Dar Al-Nahar in 2001, then it was published in several Arabic and English editions, in which he narrates aspects of his biography and his joining the groups. It also deals with the behavior of extremist groups in the last three decades of the twentieth century, and the terrorist incidents that raided Egyptian society, and cases of that period he spent among the ranks of the Islamic group before leaving it, and heading In 1999, he moved to London, where he has lived since the date of departure and works there for the British Broadcasting Corporation "BBC Arabic". He also published two novels, the first "Negative" published by Merit in 2004. The second, "An Oriental Dance / Rituals of the Birth and Absence of the Awaited Ibn al-Rifa'iyyah", published by Dar al-Ain in mid-2010, is 600 pages of medium length, and it is the novel that reached the long list.
