Hafez Mahfouz is an Arab poet and novelist, born in Ksour El Sef, in the Tunisian coast in 1965. He is a professor of Arabic language and literature.
He received several Arab and Tunisian awards, including the Golden Kumar Award for the best Tunisian novel for his novel "The Guardian of the Angels" in 1999 and for his novel "Nymph" in 2006. Some of his works were translated into French and English and wrote many critical articles about his creative experience, and he published a number of poetic and novel books. He recently re-established the "Irfan" magazine, which is aimed at children.
