Fahad Al-Ateeq / Saudi writer and novelist / writes for Al-Hayat newspaper; He lives in the capital, Riyadh. He wrote most of his stories and novels about the old and new Riyadh neighborhoods and the transformations that this ancient city has experienced during the past fifty years. He has published several books on the story and the novel, the most important of which are: A Small Submission and A Deferred Object. The Saudi and Arab newspapers published many reviews and critical studies on his books in the story and the novel. His novel A Deferred Object was translated by the American University in Cairo, and it was published under the title: Life on Hold in 2012. His novel, The Pre-Islamic King Retires, was longlisted in the Sheikh Zayed Book Award in 2015.
