Christopher James Paolini, an American author born on November 17, 1983 in Los Angeles, California, is best known for his debut and most famous book, "Eragon."
Born and raised in Southern California, Christopher Paolini spent most of his life in the Paradise Valley area of Montana. He comes from a family that includes his parents, Kenneth Paolini and Talia Hodkinson, and his younger sister, Angela Paolini. He graduated from High School at the young age of 15, achieving this through a combination of accredited courses and correspondence from the American School of Correspondence in Lansing, Illinois.
His literary journey began with the novel "Eragon," which marked the start of a legendary book series he is currently working on. "Eragon" was published by Paolini in 2002 and, in the summer of 2004, it became a massive success, rapidly rising to the status of a publishing phenomenon. His legacy cycle, which includes "Eragon" and its three sequels, has now sold nearly 40 million copies worldwide.
Christopher Paolini has also ventured into adult fiction with his novel "Sleeping in the Sea of Stars."
