A physician, writer and plastic artist, born in Cairo in 1976, she graduated from Ain Shams College of Medicine in 2000, obtained a master's degree in psychiatric and neurological diseases in 2005, then a diploma in sociology. She worked as a doctor at Abbasiya Mental Health Hospital for several years, then as director of the media department at the General Secretariat of Mental Health, and finally as director of the Department of Care for the Rights of Mental Patients, and she is a member of the Nadeem Center for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Violence and Torture. She has a number of literary and scientific books published between short story collections and research in political and social psychology. She has also participated in a number of studies in some periodicals such as Fosoul magazine. She also writes a regular column in Al Shorouk newspaper on the opinion page under the title Impressions. She has held several private sculpture, photography and photography exhibitions. She has also participated in various group exhibitions. She is a member of the Syndicate of Fine Artists, as well as of the Writers' Union. She received several awards, including the Sawiris Prize for Egyptian Literature, the Story Collections branch in 2008, and the prize for the Central Competition of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces in the same year.
