Abdel-Baqi Muhammad Ibrahim is one of the pioneers of the second generation of architecture in Egypt. He was born on March 4, 1926. He was a contemporary of Hassan Fathi, nicknamed the Sheikh of Egypt’s architects, and worked with him for a period of time. He graduated from Cairo University and was sent to Liverpool University in 1955 to obtain a master’s degree. Abdel-Baqi Ibrahim chose To stay in Liverpool for four full years, he moved in 1959 to Newcastle, where he completed his doctoral studies there and then returned to Egypt. During his years, he provided the Arabic library with many books in various urban fields, based on the Islamic approach in its perspective on architecture and urbanism, and it has become a reference for scholars and researchers in this field.
