وصف الكتاب

Animal Farm by George Orwell is one of the most powerful and enduring political allegories ever written. First published in 1945, this classic novella tells the story of a group of mistreated farm animals who overthrow their human farmer in hopes of building a society based on equality, justice, and freedom. With passionate idealism and revolutionary zeal, the animals create their own government, led by the pigs who promise a utopia free from oppression.

However, as time passes, the dream of equality begins to crumble. The pigs—most notably the cunning Napoleon and persuasive Squealer—gradually seize control, twisting the original principles of the revolution for their own gain. What began as a hopeful rebellion against tyranny evolves into a new form of dictatorship, as cruel and corrupt as the one it replaced. Orwell’s Animal Farm is a sharp and timeless satire on the dangers of power, propaganda, and political hypocrisy.

Though originally viewed as a critique of Stalinist Russia, the novel’s message remains universal. Its warnings about the corruption of ideals, the manipulation of truth, and the fragility of freedom continue to resonate in every generation and across every system of government.

Written in Orwell’s clear and compelling style, Animal Farm is more than just a political commentary—it is a cautionary tale about human nature and the cycles of power. With its unforgettable characters and chilling message, this masterpiece remains essential reading for students, historians, and anyone interested in the intersection of politics and morality.

Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals. He sets them to work, he gives back to them the bare minimum that will prevent them from starving, and the rest he keeps for himself.
